Football

December 1, 1904 Emmett Was Defeated by Caldwell Football Team by the Score of 6-0. Jack Perry, Emmett's halfback, made a sensational run of 20 yards and would have scored had it not been for the muddy field. Jack Slipped and fell when near Caldwell's goal. The boys made Rome Howl upon their return home and made one think he was living in a real college town.

Jan 17, 1907 Caldwell and Emmett Debaters Will Contest for Honors. Representatives of the Caldwell and Emmett High School will engae in a debate contest Friday night at Pleasure Club Hall. Question debated "Resolved, That the United States should grant shipping subsidies (other than mail subsidies) for the encourgment of its merchant marine." The Emmett debaters were Harmon Shanon, Ray Lyman and Vernon Glaze. Cladwell debaters will be Merton Kennedy, Alan Dresser and Forrest Sower.
