In 2003, Dragon Tamers was published by Aultbea Publishing. Aided by a media caught off-guard by a 13-year-old publishing a book, the novel sold well. Achieving success in the UK and abroad, requiring a second print run of 50,000 copies after the first run of 1,000 sold out. in 2003 a sequel (Dragon Tamers 2: Digital Tempest) was released.

During autumn 2006, the publisher pulled promotion of the sequel, putting interest instead in other child stars.
