The Emirati passport is issued to citizens of the United Arab Emirates
for international travel. In a press conference in December 2009, the UAE Ministry of Interior announced that the German company Bundesdruckerei has won the international tender for the issuance of the new Emirati Biometric Passport which will probably start in late 2010.
