. The language is also featured in three songs of the film: "Eloi," "Stone Language," and "Godspeed." In the original novel they spoke a primitive language, and in the 1960 film they spoke English.

Language structure

The Eloi language does not appear to be very complex, as Eloi people are primitive. Basic words are short, while longer, more complex words are mostly compounds of shorter words. There is no sign of more complex language features such as grammatical case
