Egidio De Maulo

Egidio De Maulo was born in Giulianova, Italy on September 4, 1840, and died in Rome, Italy in 1904.
He was a disciple of Consalvo Carelli, father-in-law of Vincenzo Bindi, the patron who donated his library which is a collection of paintings that now make a part of the Gallery Giuliese of Giulianova at the Museo D'arte dello Splendore in Giulianova, Italy.

where he successfully painted landscapes and still lifes among the painters who were part of the School of Posillipo. While in Naples Egidio participated in an art show, were he showed three works: " A group of game", " A hare" and " A duck", which are still extremely appreciated.
Recently one of his highly prized artworks called Beccaccia( A woodcock ) was found in a private collection. He also participated in 1893 in Principality of Monaco International Exhibition were he received the Bronze Medal.
The Pinacoteca Civica of Teramo, Italy is featuring the painting " Cacciagione (A group of game) ".
