Government

Egelston Township, a general law township, is run under a board system of management. Its elected officials include a Supervisor, Clerk, Treasurer and four trustees.

Township Board
The 2004-2008 Board consisted of Supervisor Vicky Jenson, Clerk Joan Raap, Treasurer Debra Ackerman, and trustees Walt Bowen, Franklin Fazakerley, Gerald Luttrull, and Bob Whiteman. Most of the officials were elected in 2004 with Debra Ackerman being specially elected to replace Brian Hill.

The current Board consists of Supervisor Mike Thompson, Clerk Joan Raap, Treasurer Debra Ackerman, and trustees Walt Bowen, John Holter, Bethann Rahn, and Marija Harjer. The newcomers to the current board include Supervisor Thompson, and Trustees Holter, Rahn, and Harjer. The term ends for all positions in 2012.

Planning Commission
The Current Planning Commission consists of Chairperson Craig Scott, Vice Chair Fred Carr, Secretary Todd Lowry, Board Trustee John Holter, and David Covell.

Zoning Board of Appeals
The current Board of Appeals consists of Chairwoman Renea Foster, Secretary Cheryl Postema, Board Trustee Bethann Rahn, Planning Commission Member David Covell, and Past town Board Member Gerald Luttrull.

Parks and Recreation Committee
The Current Parks and Recreations Committee consists of Chairperson Tom Mosher, Board Trustee and Secretary Bethann Rahn, Rex Norton Karen Boeve, MaryLou Huffman, and Branden Gemzer.
