He is known to claim that his surname is unique to his immediate family, pointing to its possible origins in the Swiss town of Chateau D'Oex. Although not one of the top 100 surnames in Belgium, Docx is common enough that there were 25 LinkedIn Members based in Belgium with the name on November 25, 2011 . It is possible that they are all related to Edward. On the same day, there were no Switzerland based LinkedIn members with the surname Docx.
