In the current location of the mall was a shopping center that included a Hutzler's and Hochschild Kohn department store. In the 1970s, this shopping center was enclosed, thereby making the location a mall. JC Penney came to the mall in 1974. In 1981, a Record Bar store opened at the mall.. The Hutzler's store closed in 1984. In 2010, the mall added DSW Shoe Warehouse and Burlington Coat Factory.

Throughout the late 90's and early 2000's the mall begun to decline leaving many stores empty and vacant. It managed to pull through despite the loss of anchors like Ames and Value City department store although the Value City furniture still remains part of the mall.

The mall also featured many unique stores such as a restaurant called King Arthurs Court and a video arcade called Aladins Castle. The mall is a regular host to events such as big sports cards and collectible sales where many outside vendors come in.

The mall also features an 8 unit food court which was added in the early 90's. It features such eateries as Subway, Roman Delight Pizza, Salad Gourmet, Osaka Japan, Moun Wok and Bubba Tea. Other eateries throughout the mall are Auntie Anne's Pretzels, Brass Hen Chicken, and The Great Cookie. The malls main food attraction with in the mall is Applebee's which now fills the original location of Chick-Fil-a which later moved to the food court and then to a location just outside the mall in the parking lot adding a drive thru. Just outside the mall in its parking lot eateries such as Arby's, Chick-Fil-a, Hibachi Grill and Buffet and Checkers are featured.
