The Cedar Rapids Ice Arena is a 4,000-seat multi-purpose arena in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, located adjacent to Veterans Memorial Stadium.  located in Cedar Rapids, IA. The club is incorporated in the State of Iowa and is a 501(c)3 organization. Since 2001, the club has hosted an annual US figure skating non-qualifying competition, and has hosted the US Figure Skating Upper Great Lakes Regional competition twice. The Club has been awarded to host the 2010 U.S. Figure Skating Midwestern & Pacific Coast Synchronized Skating Sectional competition. The club offers training in singles and pairs figure skating and ice dance. The club has two synchronized skating teams, the Blue Diamonds.

In 2009, Lauren Gifford and Carson Bodnarek placed fourth at the 2009 AT&T U.S. Figure Skating Championships Novice Pairs. Mark Krutzfield and Anya Cockerell placed third in the US Junior National Championships Juvenile Pairs. In 2008, Lauren Gifford and Carson Bodnarek placed fourth in the US Junior National Champions Intermediate Pairs and Tim Leduc placed 7th among Novice Men at the US National Figure Skating Championships.

The club began in 1998 with 25 adult and child members. The first president was Cass Kernstine, followed by Beth Ingram, Alison Amendola, Dawn Gifford and (currently) Tammie Hoover. The club began with a small number of figure skating coaches, including Tanya Street-Burgess, the 1991 Novice National Champion. Lisa VanderVeer Recker currently serves as figure skating director at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena. The club currently lists ten coaches most notably includes Andy Seitz, 2006 US Junior Pair Champion and 2006 World Junior Pair Silver Medalist.
