His broadcasting career started while he was still at school in Dublin on Kiss FM and Q102. He later moved to the UK and presented shows on a number of stations around the country (including Kent

) and Capital Radio London for thirteen years.
He joined the Smooth Network in 2007, and after spending just over a year as weekday afternoon presenter at 106.6 Smooth Radio
, replaced Gary Burton on the station's breakfast show in early 2009. He also presented a Friday evening show at sister station 102.2 Smooth Radio
in London until off-peak networking from Manchester was introduced. Eamonn along with the rest of the local Smooth team will lose their work due to the national Smooth Radio launch taking place on 4th October. Eamonn will be covering on the Gold Radio network on Sunday 5th December. Eamonn is also due to cover on Gold on Sunday 12th December 2010. Eamonn will be the new presenter to take over Gold afternoons from 4th January 2011.
