Encyclopedia
Dynamic desktop is a Windows-based workspace (physical/local desktops or virtual desktops) virtual desktop service, which is aware of the situation or context in which the user is operating at any given time; and dynamically adjusts the content and appearance of the workspace accordingly. Where traditional desktops are static and device-centric, the dynamic desktop is user-centric and context-centric. When applied to mature and IT solution to become service-centric, Dynamic desktops and dynamic datacenters make up the space generally termed dynamic IT. Dynamic desktops form a part of the technology space termed as virtual desktop administration, and are also relevant during large scale desktop visualisation deployment.
