Dwarka FC
Encyclopedia
Dwarka Football Club is a Delhi 'A' division professional football club, based out at sector 19, Dwarka, South-West District, New Delhi, INDIA. The location of the ground is strategically the best one can have, next to Football House (AIFF Head Quarter, Delhi). The Club currently plays in the Delhi Soccer Association's 'A' division Football League Championship, and its honours include runners-up (point based) in the Delhi state's 'B' division league in the last season 2008-09, and many other tournaments.

Dwarka Football Club was founded in 1994 as Panchkuian Club, but got renamed as "Dwarka Football Club" in 2005 due consideration of local sentiments. In the early years after the club's formation in its original home of DESU Park (C-Block, Janak Puri), games were played at many different grounds around Janak Puri area until finally the club settled into its current location at DDA sports complex ground, sec-19, Dwarka on Road No. 205. Due to its proximity to other west Delhi clubs like Paschim Heroes FC, Rohini FC, Nirvana FC etc, Dwarka FC maintains long-standing rivalries with several other clubs in the area; the most notable of these are Collegians FC, Nirvana FC & Moti Lal Evening College (Delhi University).

Currently we have shifted temporarily to Salvage Park(Nangal Raya) near Lajwanti Garden Red Light.

Club crest and colours

During its earlier days at DESU ground, the club played in a number of different colours, the most recognisable being the yellow and green halved shirts; this strip was revived as an away kit in the early 2000s. Other kits worn included a red and white quartered shirt (2002) and a plain Dark shirt (2006–07). In 2004, in conjunction with the name change to Dwarka Football Club from Panchkuyian Club, the club changed its colours to blue-white jerseys, which has become the standard for most Dwarka FC home kits ever since.

In the last season, away strips are usually white jerseys with black shorts and white socks, but other colours have been used including a blue and white striped shirt, an all-black kit in 2006, and a navy blue shirt with white vertical stripes on the sides in 2003 (sponsored by On-dot Courier & Cargo services). One of the most famous, yet short-lived, DwFC away kits was the all orange kit in 2006-07, which was supposed to be wear by the reserves & juniors (Dwarka FC 'B' Team)

Currently this season, Dwarka Football Club's home jerseys are plain white with a black short having triple vertical lines both sides. The club crest sits on a blue shield of the same shape on the left side of the chest, while the Adidas logo is in Black on the right side; the Havells
