Performance

The 1198/1198 SP makes a manufacturer claimed 170 hp, 97.1 ft.lbf torque, and has a dry weight of 173 kg (381.4 lb). Rear wheel output was tested as 117.75 kW @ 9600 rpm and 90.14 ft.lbf torque at 8300 rpm, with a wet weight of 441 lb (200 kg). The 0–60 mph time is less than 2.5 seconds and top speed is estimated at 186 mph (299.3 km/h). The 1198 R makes a manufacturer claimed 180 hp and 98.8 ft.lbf torque.
