It is also stated in the Karaethon Cycle that the Dragon Reborn will be born on the slopes of Dragonmount. At the end of the Aiel War, Rand al'Thor, the Dragon Reborn was born on the slope of Dragonmount to a dying Aiel

Due to several references to smoke rising from Dragonmount's peak, and rumbling coming from inside the mountain, it is likely that Lews Therin's "creation" is an active or dormant volcano. The mountain's black slopes are said to be littered with the bones of those who have tried to reach its summit, though none have made it to the mountain's jagged top.

Its stunning peak dominates the landscape for miles, and is said to dwarf the White Tower of Tar Valon
