History

Established in 1964, Derryfield has become well known around New Hampshire for academic and athletic achievements. Derryfield's school colors are maroon and white. The 2010 - 2011 tuition is $25,200.

Community service

Derryfield's commitment to public service is made clear in its mission statement: "Recognizing that academic achievement without compassion and concern for others is meaningless, we are committed to purposeful involvement in the world outside our school in both the local and the global community." Over three-quarters of the student body are involved in volunteer activities. The Middle School's Builders Club and the Upper School's Key Club

Athletics

Students are required to participate in two semesters of athletics each academic year. The school competes in several sports, including cross-country, crew, field hockey, golf, and soccer in the fall; basketball, hockey, skiing (alpine and Nordic) and swimming in the winter; and baseball, crew, lacrosse, sailing, softball, and tennis in the spring. In fact, the school has more athletic offerings and championships than any Class S school in New Hampshire.
