History

After a fire destroyed many buildings in April, 1904 there was a major rebuilding and many of the buildings remain today. From 1918 to 1920 several buildings, including the First National Bank(1920), were built.
There have been several fires over the years that have destroyed some buildings and these were torn down leaving gaps. More damage might have happened during these fires but the thick walls between the buildings also provided fire prevention.
