David Ogden is a freelance conductor and composer. Between 1991 and 2002, David Ogden was Director of Music at Clifton Cathedral, Bristol, and from 1995 to 2001 he was Regional Director of the Royal School of Church Music

He has conducted choirs in the UK, the Philippines, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Finland, Italy, Germany, France, Thailand, Belgium, the Netherlands and also the Gambia.

As a busy composer, David writes music for churches and schools. Many of his pieces have been performed on radio and television, including his best known pieces: Song of Ruth, White Light Eucharist and the anthem, Christ has no body now but yours.

In April 2008 David's piece Love's redeeming work is done was sung by a 250-strong choir in the presence of Pope Benedict XVI as part of a Papal Mass during the Pope's visit to the USA. The Mass was celebrated by the Pope in the Washington Nationals Baseball Stadium with a congregation of 40,000 people in attendance.

David Ogden's music is published by White Light Publishing and RSCM Music Direct.
