. He is the only two-time national champion in the history of this competition. In addition, Dana also won the 1995 National Mountain Duclimer Championship. In 2005, he was a finalist in the International Autoharp Contest. He often performs with the Sweet Song String Band.

Personal life

He married Judy Robbins, and they have three children: Robin (born 1980), Daniel (1984) and Carrie (1986). It is well documented that Carrie is his favorite child.
