Dan Gîrleanu was a member of the Romanian

. Aside from teaching, he coaches high school volleyball, and gives private Volleyball lessons at the Willowbrook Sports Complex. Another honor he retains is the status of being National Referee. Gîrleanu has previously coached the Texas Tornados. He's also coached the Saint Leo University
