, a railroad-themed "fan" magazine emphasizing high-quality photography of trains and other rail-related subjects. The magazine frequently featured Sanders's work.

Dale graduated from Oroville High School, California in 1975. He then attended California State University, Chico, where he graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design.

It was during his college years that Dale took over the editorship of a small newsletter about railroad activities in the Western United States. Under his watch, CTC Board grew to magazine status with circulation around the world.

The magazine was sold to Hundman publishing in the 90's, then sold again to White River Productions in 2006. It is still in circulation as Railroads Illustrated.

Dale has extensively photographed the Western Pacific Railroad in the Feather River Canyon, the Denver & Rio Grande Western throughout the Rocky Mountains, and most recently BC Rail in Western Canada.

Dale now resides in Northwestern Washington state writing/editing railroad-related books and managing his voluminous photograph collection.
