in northeast Zhejiang. It comprises a series of islands with Daishan Island forming the main part of the country. Daishan Island has a fishing port, shipbuilding and ship refitting facilities. Interestingly enough, the island has several museums including salt, marine life, typhoon and lifehouse museums.

The county consists of 6 towns and 1 township.
  • Town: Gaoting, Dongsha, Daixi, Changtu, Qushan, Daodong;
