Early life

D-Code's ardour for Rave music began at the age of 15, as a teenager in Essex, when he invested in a record that would reinforce his love for Rave music forever- "Drum & Bass Selection One".

's debut album, D-Code spent much of his youth in record shops and raves- Moondance at Camden Palace, Telepathy, Junglemania, One Nation and World Dance.

Early career

Inspired by rave culture, his fascination got serious when he started playing on pirate radio stations of the likes of Eruption FM, Rude FM and one of the first internet stations- gaialive.co.uk, under the alias 'Blade'.

D-Code set up studio in 2005, and so began a learning curve.

, The Sex Pistols and thus struck up a friendship introducing D-Code as a member of Shiva Soundsystem.

Current

Now with a number of Drum & Bass productions supported by popular artists of the scene (Fabio, London Elecktricity and Andy C amongst many others), and a production style that merges Drums, Bass and Electro Punk, D-Code became the core tune maker in Shiva Soundsystem.

D-Code’s individualistic musical signature caught the attention of the producers at BBC Radio 1

2009 saw the release of Shiva Soundsystem's debut LP, "Phasmatis In Machina" which made it to number 3 in the Drum & Bass charts and number 10 in the DMC charts. Having produced the backbone of the album, D-Code provides immense collaborations with the likes of UK Hip Hop act Foreign Beggars, Italy's Elio D'Anna Jr and New York and Mumbai's electronic twosome, Shaair & Func.

DJ Hero

Being one of the lead remixers for the newly released smash music computer game “DJ Hero” has made D-Code as 'one to look out for' within the music industry. His track 'Annie's Horn' is the sole Drum & Bass tune on the game. Remixed with DJ Shadow

D-Code has worked together with Jazzy Jeff, Grandmaster Flash and Tiesto. He's a DJ, producer, Radio 1 presenter, and has held down residencies at night clubs across nationwide and is a recurrent performer at festivals including Glastonbury and Lovebox.
