The Cyprus Amateur Football Federation (CAFF) (Greek: Κυπριακή Ερασιτεχνική Ποδοσφαιρική Ομοσπονδία) was founded in 1948 by leftist actors and athletes. The establishment meant the division of the Cyprus football for 5 years into two federations. The CAFF held its own league and cup.

During the 1946-1949 Greece was divided into two camps, both left and right. In 1948 SEGAS, which were members and Cypriot clubs, called Cypriot clubs public declaration of "national conscience" and implicitly called for the ouster of the communists, athletes and members. The majority of Cypriot clubs in SEGAS obeyed except Kinyras Paphos.
