Biography

Cyanna is a rock n' roll quartet blending synths and guitars, heavily influenced by both classic rock n’ roll and contemporary musical styles.
Cyanna's new album “End Is Near” is set out to explore a new musical direction, a more stripped-down-to-the-bone sound, with distorted organs, garage guitars, top-notch vocals and dance-rock rhythms.
The band’s previous long-player "Just A Crash", a critically acclaimed blend of electronica and rock n’ roll, earned them a nomination in the Greek Act category of the MTV European Awards 2008 and a Mad Video Music Award for Best Alternative Video in 2009.

Cyanna have also made a reputation of themselves for their intense live shows. In the last few months they have shared the stage with prestigious international acts such as Massive Attack, MGMT, IAMX, Fischerspooner and Gorillaz Soundsystem.

Cyanna have also collaborated with greek legend Dimitra Galani in her 2009 album ‘Pixel’.

Second Album J.A.C.

Cyanna’s second long-play album Just A Crash (Sony Music) was released in 2008. Songs like "Done Be", "Shine" and "TV Nation" are already amongst radio and TV favourites ("Shine" has remained on MAD TV top charts for more than 5 months), while thanks to "Just A Crash" the band was nominated in the Greek Act category of the MTV European Awards of 2008.
