 in 1998. They played in the Crystal Palace Sports Centre and were one of the forerunners of the league in the mid-1990s.

The team saw success in the late 1970s and early 1980s, with their run of victories in the league and cup competitions. The team were pioneers of UK basketball, with players such as Steve Stimpson, Steve Pilgrim and Alton Byrd. Following the club's 1998 merger, the London Towers dropped out of the BBL.
