 was to be released world wide. The tour was to promote Selena's crossover album worldwide, in contrast to her previous concert tours that only promoted Selena in the United States, Mexico and South America.

The crossover tour was to extend Selena's fan base, awareness, and to convey non-Hispanic and Latino Americans to her music. The tour was also a transition for Selena from singing songs in Spanish to English, after her record company EMI Latin
