Conception and history

First portrayed by Lee Brownstein, Crackers was later played by John Derevlany and Gideon Evans. Working in tandem with Michael Moore and the staff members of TV Nation, the show won an Emmy Award in 1995 for Outstanding Informational Series. Crackers later appeared on Moore's television show The Awful Truth
