COBIS offers: continuing professional development to teachers and heads through conferences and workshops; a system of international support for schools; a forum for discussion, networking, and sharing good practice; and quality-assurance.

COBIS was founded in 1981 as COBISEC (Council of British Independent Schools in the European Communities) and is a charitable association registered in The Hague
