The station has four platforms, a reservation center with 6 counters and a booking office. Currently, the Cheran express, Nilgiri express and Chennai-Coimbatore Intercity express in the return direction (from Chennai) stop here. Chennai Egmore-Mangalore express, Coimbatore-Nagercoil passenger, Coimbatore-Erode passenger, Coimbatore-Mettupalayam passenger and Palakkad-Tiruchirapalli passenger stop in both directions. Many workers from Coimbatore and Tirupur use this station.
