Morris began his film career doing acquisition work for several film and DVD distributors, and later worked for several studios. Around this time he also wrote for various TV series.
In 2005, Morris made a move into full-time producing and screenwriting - he wrote the horror satire "First Howl" starring Eric Stoltz
