The church was built in 1904-1905 and was originally built and donated by Gabrielle Greeley and her husband Rev Clendenin as a memorial to their daughter Muriel who died young. It is a close copy of the Church of Saint Mary the Virgin at Monken Hadley, England, built in the 1400s. It includes a window from that church. The church features a crenallated tower containing a ten bell carillon

 as a farm windbreak. There is currently a trail that winds along the top of a ravine overlooking Tercia Brook which flows through the area. Greeley originally built a dam in the area which has since been the subject of decay and vandalism. The grove itself is home to frogs, raccoons, owls
