Christine Babao known as "Tintin" is a broadcast journalist, actress, radio-TV personality.

Educational Life

She graduated valedictorian in grade school at OB Montessori Greenhills. She also garnered excellence awards in Assumption High School in Makati. She finished with an honors degree in Mass Communication in University of the Philippines Diliman.

Early life

Born Christine Bersola on October 30, 1970. She graduated valedictorian in grade school at OB Montessori Greenhills. She also garnered excellence awards in Assumption High School in Makati. She finished with an honors degree in Mass Communication in University of the Philippines Diliman. As a college student in 1990, Tintin, as she is called, she started building a career on TV, doing cameo roles for Batibot, and appearing in theatrical plays and commercials for TV and print. In 1993, after winning the Vidal Sassoon Search for the Asian Look, she auditioned for TV Patrol and became a segment anchor for Star News. In 1996, she essayed the “Anatom” role in ABS-CBN Foundation’s hit educational program, Sineskwela, and was one of the pioneer hosts for The Filipino Channel (TFC) via the program, “TFC This Week.” Her former hosting gigs include “Showbiz Linggo Plus,” her own segment in Sang Linggo nAPO Sila, and Cinema One on cable.

In 1996, she started co-anchoring the top-rated program, Alas Singko Y Medya with Julius Babao. Since then, she has won numerous awards as “Best Morning Show Host.” In 2004, the program Magandang Morning with Julius and Tintin was launched in DZMM. This marked her foray into radio broadcasting. She left the said morning radio program in August 2011 to be replaced by Niña Corpuz

Tintin is also a four-time “Anak TV Awardee,” landing on top of the survey since 2005.
