History

In 2006, the Dacorum Junior League began as a project ran by the Hertfordshire Rugby League, with Dacorum Community Safety Partnership with the aim of channelling young people’s energy into sport as an alternative to crime and anti-social behaviour. Four of Hemel Stags

team entering the league it was renamed The Chilterns Junior Rugby League. Chilterns being chosen rather than Hertfordshire, because Aylesbury is in Buckinghamshire. Towards the end of the season player numbers from Aylesbury diminished and Northampton took over the fixtures in their own right.
