Charlotte United students will:

1. Love the Lord with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength.

2. Thoughtfully engage the world with a distinctly biblical Christian worldview.

3. Think critically, reason clearly, and communicate effectively.

4. Exhibit Christ-like behavior.

Academic Associations

Charlotte United Christian Academy is a member of Greater Charlotte Association of Christian Schools and Association of Christian Schools International.

College Prep

Charlotte United Christian Academy is committed to seeing their graduates attend and excel at the college of their choice. To that end, the school has a full-time guidance counselor and offers opportunities for students to have access to a full range of college preparatory classes.

Preschool

The preschool has been in operation for 30 years as Garr Christian Preschool. Instructionally, our preschool provides lessons and activities through qualified, dedicated teachers that allow the child to "catch" the love of God in practical, everyday experiences.

Children are drawn to our "playfully" decorated rooms filled with fun learning centers. Each day is a new adventure with creative Bible Stories, hands-on learning, community guests, special parties, show-n-tell, special music classes, parades, playtime, growing friendships and lots of hugs.

Mrs. Shelby Fullerton has served as our Preschool Director for over 20 years, caring for our school with a mother's watchful eye and a grandma's loving heart!

Autism NOW!

Charlotte United Christian Academy is home to a unique program called Autism NOW!
In our efforts to truly leave no child behind, we have observed a growing need in our community (and our world) to serve children with special needs, by providing the specialized therapy they need while including them in a typical school environment where they develop socially as well. In North Carolina alone, there are over 140,000 individuals affected by developmental disabilities.

We have already seen incredible success in the classroom using Applied Behavior Analysis techniques that include Verbal Behavior techniques in treating children with language delays and other communication disorders as well as autism, down syndrome, seizure disorder, and other developmental disabilities.

Students are gaining language, knowledge and independence each day. Students that may have been at risk of institutionalization years ago are now, with this special training, able to look forward to happy, productive lives.

Through a system called Applied Behavioral Analysis, teachers use repetition and rewards to teach desired behavior. "We're teaching them that their language will get them what they want, what they need," says Garr ABA director Theresa Wagner.
