Johnson is currently in talks with Los Angeles and Salt Lake City based musicians to form a multi-regional experimental touring Metallica tribute inspired by the Todd Solondz film "Palindromes" and the Bob Dylan biopic "I'm Not There", in which band members will be portrayed on a rotating basis by performers of different ages, ethnicities and genders.
