The Chamber of Commerce France-India is a not-for-profit association whose main missions are to "gather" and "inform" its members both in France and in India in order to foster bilateral trade.

For over 25 years, the Chamber of Commerce France-India’s main missions have been to gather business men and women from France and India and to create a bilateral trade conducive environment, both economically and culturally.

The Chamber of Commerce France-India provides a setting that cannot be ignored where businessmen and women from France and India compare experiences, seek answers to common problems, identify good practice and partners, and develop a professional network

Partnerships

The Chamber of Commerce France-India engages in partnerships with a certain number of institutions, public, private or government in order to enhance the association’s missions and activities. This large network of loyal partners gives an opportunity for each member to expand their business.
To that purpose, the Chamber of Commerce France-India organizes many events that let members develop their professional network.

Support

Also, the Chamber of Commerce supports French and Indian companies in their internationalization process, mergers and acquisitions or investments thanks to the India Trade Centre http://www.indiatradecentre.eu with which the CCI-FI has grown a tight partnership over the years, but also with the help of other certified partners, both in France and in India.

Services

The Chamber of Commerce France-India offers a wide range of services, most them free of charge.
  • The Chamber of Commerce France-India frequently sets up events such as business lunch and lectures on specific subjects in order to encourage members to exchange and communicate about their expectations and experiences.

Sources of revenue

The Chamber of Commerce France-India is a not-for-profit organization and therefore does not receive any kind of financial support.

That is why the CCI-FI relies exclusively on subsidies as well as on their members’ annual subscription fees to be able to maintain the level of quality and efficient services. Most of the services provided by the Chamber of Commerce France-India are free of charge or provided at preferential rate

* The France India Business Magazine-FIB

The Chamber of Commerce France India is working on publishing its bilingual magazine entitled the France India Business Magazine, also known as FIB.
It is expected to be published every three months to relay the latest economic and political news.

More entertaining articles dealing with cultural and social news will also be available to attract as many readers as possible.

*Newsletter

An electronic Newsletter is to be sent each month to all CCI-FI members. It gathers the not-to-be-missed information of the month, regarding the French market as well as the Indian market.

Creation

The Chamber of Commerce France India was created in 1983 by Francis Doré, now Honorary President.
Shortly after its establishment, the French Government recognized the association's importance by granting the label "Chamber of Commerce" in July 1987.

The organization was known until the 1990s as the France-India Economic Association but only then it became a pivotal actor in the trade relations between France and India mostly thanks to the label Chamber of Commerce France India and also thanks to the energy of his founder, former ambassador of France In Seychelles.

Development

It has been 25 years since the establishment of the Chamber of Commerce France India and the beginning of her engagement to the business community to develop economic and political relations between France and India.

As early as 1998, the Chamber of Commerce France India was empowered by the French authorities to organize and coordinate the France-India summit taking place in India.

Despite a certain number of changes, both structural and economical, the Chamber of Commerce France India has succeeded in adjusting her strategies and is now a major representative in bilateral trade offering innovative services that address the evolving needs of members.

Rebirth

Dan Oiknine has been the President of the Chamber of Commerce France India since summer 2009.

He has put efforts in following the path of his predecessor, while giving a new energy to the organization by restructuring the staff and re-orienting the missions of the Chamber of Commerce.
A new era has come to the Chamber of Commerce France-India, guided by an innovative and dynamic politics, more focused on members, information and networking.
