meet in 2008 and won with the very first horse he entered when Star Player won won the first race on opening day. Brown went on to win a total of 6 races during the 36 day meet. Two days later, he won with a first time starter named Midtown Bullet. During that same meet, Chad Brown started a two year old filly in a $75,000 Maiden Claiming race, named Maram. Maram went on to win the Miss Grillo (Grade 3) at Belmont Park which earned her a spot in the Breeders Cup Juvenile Filly Turf at Santa Anita Park. Maram beat a star packed group (at 11-1) to earn Chad his first Grade 1 victory, with a purse of over $1,000,000.
