Da Graça was widely seen as the favourite to win the Miss Hong Kong 2002 crown. Da Graça had won the Miss Photogenic prize at the Semi-Finals which was usually a good indicator on the final winner. Asked if she was disappointed about not winning any of the major prizes, Da Graça responded: "No, this was a very good life experience for me."
