. The WA Government contributed $2.25 million to the project.

Projects in the Centre include:
  • Development of a portable digital imaging device that has teleophthalmology (retinal and anterior segment imaging), teledermatology, teleotolaryngology and teledentistry applications enabling remote diagnosis of disease and disorder.
  • Online visual function testing of eye health.
  • A stereo optic disc analyser, a software tool that analyses stereo images of the retina.


The Director of the Centre is Professor Kanagasingam Yogesan.
