Türk Sinemasına çok şey verdim karşılığında hiçbir şey kazanamadım. Niçin derseniz.. Çünkü ben, 2 inci adamı yani menfiyi oynuyordum. Bülent Ersoy 500 bin alıyorsa, ben 15 bin lira alıyordum. Orhan Gencebay’la filmde aynı kızı seviyoruz. Ben zengini oynuyorum, Orhansa fakiri.Gencebay 1.000.000 alıyor, bense 12.500 alıyorum. Ama başa baş oynuyoruz. Hep böyle oldu.. Bana soruyorlar para kazandın mı diye, gülüyorum, o zaman kira parası, giyim parası, gençlik parası, aldığın zaten çerez parası. 33 sene böyle geçti. 1980’den itibaran sinema bitti.
