. It is situated on a ridge between the Val Bormida and the Valle Belbo. Castino is one of the most famous cities in Langhe, Piedmont. It has a very
famous romanic church the St.Margherita abbey. Usually castinesi organise a little colour-parade in the center of the town. Castino was the main town of Langhe between 1900 and 1950. It is famous for good panoramas and very pretty houses.
It has two suburbs (frazioni):Campetto,south-est of the city-center and S.Bovo,north-east.
Bosia was until 1981 a suburb of Castino,now it is an indipendent village.
