Carol Denise Barbee (born May 22, 1959 in Concord, North Carolina) is an American television writer, actress and producer.
Biography
Barbee graduated from Central Cabarrus High School in Concord, North Carolina and attended Wake Forest University for Undergraduate School. She graduated from UCLA for Graduate School.
She is married to actor Carlos Lacamara. They have sons Lucas('93) and Diego('97).
Career History
Acting
Carol Barbee got her first role in L.A. Law, and has appeared in other TV shows such as JAG and Ellen, as well as movies such as Die Hard 2 and Out to Sea.
Writing
In 2001, Barbee wrote her first credited script for NBC's Providence, and has since written for Judging Amy (where she also served as Executive Producer and Head Writer), Close to Home, and was the Executive Producer/Head Writer for the Cancelled CBS' Jericho and Executive Producer of CBS' series Swingtown and is currently writting a show called "Three Rivers" (medical show set in the world of transplants with each story told from the point of view of the doctor, the recipient and the donor.) that she created.
