On reformation in 1999, the club entered the Lanarkshire Amateur Football Association, beginning in the third tier and rising to the Premier Division in Season 2006/7. Following seasons in which highlights include capturing the John Roan Memorial Trophy and a third place finish in the league, and after a brief one season stint in the West of Scotland AFL, the Talbot have now switched to the Central Scottish Amateur Football League
