Cambridge Technology Partners (CTP) was founded by John J. Donovan in 1991 in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA as a division of Cambridge Technology Group, is a leading consulting firm with focus on solving complex business problems with technology based solutions.

Today, the headquarters are based in Nyon in Switzerland, with more than 210 employees in Nyon and Zurich. In addition, they also have a Global Delivery Centre in Budapest and a strategic partnership in India.

History

In 1991, Cambridge Technology Partners was founded in Cambridge, Massachusetts (USA) by John J. Donovan, pioneering fixed time/fixed price consulting services and RAD Methodology.

In May 1993 CTP went public at $5 a share.

In 1996, the company established its Swiss Office, originally in Geneva (CH) and established itself as one of the major Consulting firms on the Swiss market.

In 1998, Cambridge Technology Partners set up an office to focus on the Swiss German market and provide access to the German and Austrian markets. The company became an established leader in CRM and New Economy.

In 2001, Cambridge Technology Partners was acquired by Novell Inc.

In 2008, Cambridge Technology Partners, under the leadership of Vijay Srinivasan, decided to spin off from the Novell Inc.
