, formed in 1894. Being a bilingual school of both Welsh and English, it promotes the Welsh language, and consists of both a Welsh stream and English Stream. Spanish and French are offered as main subjects, and A-Level students are giving the option of learning either Italian, German, Russian or Mandarin through the Welsh Baccaleaureate Qualification scheme, a qualification which is designed to enhance school pupils in Wales' knowledge and appreciation of the country's heritage and history.
Caereinion High School achieved all Grade 2 attributes, bar one category which was given a Grade 3.
The school also includes a 5x60 officer. 5x60 is a scheme designed for schools in the country to encourage young people to take part in physical activity and keep fit. Next door to the school is the town's sport's centre, constituting of squash courts, a fitness suite, a gymnasium and a sports hall. The school has a sound relationship with the centre's manager, and pupils may use the centre's facilities during the lunch hour, and during activities after school.
Another feature of Caereinion High School is its Music department. Harpists are taught by world renowned harp player Ieuan Jones, and choirs compete in the annual Urdd Eisteddfod, a competitive event which encompasses literature and music performances, judged by professionals.
Katie Griffiths has gone onto represent Wales in hockey and football, while Huw Jones enjoys a so far successful international career in table tennis, and Aled Humphreys in bowls. Catrin Thomas has also displayed outstanding achievements in the field of athletics, winning several gold and silver medals. Owain Williams has represented North Wales and Powys in rugby union at under 17s level, and many youngsters including James Harding also represent the North Wales team at under 18s level.

The school has excelled in examination results, both at GCSE level, and A-Level. Athletics
Sport has also become a prominent feature of the school's face. The under 18 boys team won the Welsh School's Minute Maid Cup in 2009, (the school winning 4-1 on penalties).
