At 6am on Tuesday, August 3, 2010 100.7 FM The River launched with the song "I Gotta Feeling" By the Black Eyed Peas. The shows consist of: River Mornings hosted by Vinnie Taylor and Meg Tucker, followed by the River @ Work with Cam Webb, then The Workday Windup with Pat Staron and the River @ Night with Josh McLean.

CKRI received approval by the CRTC on October 17, 2008, along with other applications to serve Red Deer, which the commission approves in part to use the 100.7 MHz frequency:
