The hovercraft is the newest in the CCG's fleet and their first as first owners (previous hovercrafts were second hand) and custom ordered (previous one's were converted to CCG specifications). She is the largest hovercraft exported by British shipbuilders.
The primary missions of Mamilossa is used for SAR along coastlines in Quebec Region, buy can perform other tasks:
