The Bureau of Special Investigation (founded 1951) is an agency of the Union of Myanmar and is subordinate to the Ministry of Home Affairs. The Bureau has authority to investigate legal offenses, including economic crimes and those committed by police officers. The Director General of BSI is Col. Aung Saw Win.
