Burdale railway station

Burdale was a railway station on the Malton & Driffield Railway, situated south of the 1746 yard Burdale Tunnel
. It opened on 19 May 1853, and served the hamlet and large quarry at Burdale. It closed on 5 June 1950.
Burdale railway station could also be restored as part of the restoration project and reopened as part of the new Heritage Railway line.

Preservation
In October 2008, The Yorkshire Wolds Railway Restoration Project was formed by a group of enthusiasts with aim to restore at least part of the M&D railway line as a heritage attraction, marking it the only Heritage Railway in East Yorkshire,Burdale railway station could also be restored as part of the restoration project and reopened as part of the new Heritage Railway line.
