Buff Wood has a core of ancient woodland, with surrounding areas of secondary woodland planted from the middle ages onward. The wood is 15.6 ha (38.5 acres) in area, managed by the Wildlife Trust for Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire and Peterborough
